     Kannawidan is a festivity which the City of Vigan celebrates every year. In this festival, the Ilocano people showcase cultural shows, native products and the talents of the Ilocanos. The most powerful way one can change the world isn’t simply by doing one thing, but instead is a way of life revolving around the concept of altruism. The positive impact I can make starts within myself; by becoming a truly giving person, I can change the world. While self-improvement may seem a passive process, it’s actually a challenge requiring daily practice.      If you want to change reality start with yourself first and attend to your own personal development.      When the new year comes around it seems like the perfect time for self-improvement. Even though I’ve always failed my new year’s resolutions, every year I promise myself that this time will be different.      Christmas has come around once more. A season when we celebrate the birth of Christ the king, the redeemer of mankind. But Christmas is not about the birthday of god’s son and that’s not also the reason why we celebrate and honor Christmas better than our birthday or any important anniversary in the family.      If god really wanted us to celebrate it that way, god would have schemed Jesus’ birthday in the same fashion we celebrate it today. But he chose a simpler way to do things because he wanted us to celebrate the “essence” not the event.      At Christmas, we are expected to spare time to contemplate on things eternal. That is, we must remind ourselves that we are strangers here on earth, that are real home is in heaven. And that no matter how long we live, we shall sure die one day.

Sa panahon ngayon nagiging isyu na ang sobrang paggamit ng gadgets ng mga kabataan. Ito ay dahil nauubos ang oras sa paggamit ng mga gadgets. Hindi nila nagagamit ang oras dahil sa mga laro at social media. Maraming oras ng kabataan ay nakalaan na sa mga gadgets. Mas gusto nilang kasama ang mga gadgets kaysa sa kanilang mga pamilya at kapwa. Nalilimitahan na nag kumonikasyon nila dahil mas pinipili nila nila ang makipag-usap sa social media.Pero may magandang dulot rin ang social media sa pang araw-araw na buhay, napakarami ng magagawa ang computer ngayon. Nakakatuwang isipin na napapadali at napapagaan ang maramingb Gawain ng mga tao. Lalong limiliit ang mundo, hindi na mahirap mawalay sa mga mahal sa buhay. Hindi dapat hayaan ang mga kabataan na isantabi ang kanilang pamilya at sa mahal sa buhay. Kailangang alalahanin na ang mga gadgets ay maaring mawala at masira ngunit ang pamilya at pakikipag-ugnayan sa kapwa ay walang kapalit at hindi masisira.
