     The nutrition month theme in 2018 is “Ugaliing magtanim sapat na nutrition ay aanihin”. The nutrition month 2018 aims to improve the healthy food consumption of Filipinos, food security or food to be self- sufficient as possible with backyard gardening. Nutrition is one of the primary aspects in today’s lifestyle. We need motivation for everything in life to stay focused. Hippocrates said, our food should be our medicine and our medicine should be our food.
     Eating healthy meals staying away from junk food can be difficult for most of us. We all know the importance of fruit and vegies in our body, so in order for us to have a healthy lifestyle, we should consider eating fruits and vegies and avoid eating junk foods. We all know that disease is everywhere that can be easily catch by our body. We should eat healthy foods and we should start planting more fruits and vegetables so we can have a self- sufficient people. We should eat healthy foods so we can avoid malnutrition.
     Our bodies need protein, fiber, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals. Although chocolate, fast food, chips, and candy may taste amazing, viewing these foods from a health stance might change your mind about snacking and splurging. Many foods that are less expensive. Chips pops, etc. are less nutritious. These foods contain little to no vitamins, minerals, fiber, or protein.
